Four of us visited Romsey for the first time yesterday, and discovered Bradbeers Department Store. We have sadly lost our department stores in Fareham/Portsmouth/Southsea. We were recommended the restaurant in Bradbeers by a passerby, who showed us the way! We all had breakfast, and later returned for coffee and cake. Staff in both the restaurant and the store were very friendly and welcoming. We left the men in the restaurant, whilst us girls looked around the store. Wow! We had a fabulous time. So much to look at! Just like the old times when we had Alders in Portsmouth, and Debenhams and Knight and Lee in Southsea. We will be visiting Bradbeers in Romsey again. Your store is a delight to eat and shop in. We had a loverly day.

Visited the store today.
Handed a 'Scottish £10 note to the sales assistant to pay for a Birthday Card she looked at the note several times before muttering something about forgeries!! Eventually, without lifting her head up she put it in the till and gave me my change. A blonde woman, fancy hairdo but no customer skills whatsoever.
I then visited the perfume/makeup department. While browsing I listened to a very 'interesting' conversation between a sales assistsnt in tbe Chanel section ( another blonde woman) and a man presumably from the stockroom criticising the management of the company. At one point discussing the state of the staff room carpet quote "and to think they own a carpet shop".
We then visited the cafe on tbe ground floor. The muffins we had were delicious but we had eaten them before the coffee came. It wasn't busy so why the wait.
Lovely shop but let down by staff.

My friend and i popped in to the romsey store for some lunch. It was a week day and really busy but we found a table with comfy arm chairs. You order at the counter then the waitress brings to your table. I had a fish finger sandwich which came with a lovely side salad. My friends sandwich also had a side salad. We both had cold drinks and then had a good look round. I found a beautiful necklace in wallis reduced from 16 50 to £5 so had a bargain!!! Lots of beautiful linens for the bedroom and kitchen equipment and in the sale at the moment so great time to go. Will be back as love the atmosphere and quality products

Wreath-making event November 2024
First time I’d seen an event like this in my local Bradbeers, after going to similar events for many years elsewhere. Very welcoming atmosphere with super friendly staff. Just the right amount of help offered to allow for a professional looking wreath and social time with my daughter. Generous amount of refreshments available and enough time to make the wreath with time to chat. Lots of choice of greenery and embellishments and price mid-range for area. Would definitely go back and highly recommend. Please repeat this next year Bradbeers and maybe add a table decoration workshop too? 🙏

I went into the new Salisbury store today and it was so lovely. Bright and airy, friendly welcoming staff. Huge choice of brands.
I was particularly impressed by the wide variety of handbags….I spent some time talking to a lovely staff member called Katie,I believe, she was so enthusiastic and walked me round all the brands till I found what suited me best, there were prices to suit all pockets.I was super happy with my purchase and will definitely return again soon after receiving such wonderful customer service :)

A lovely shop with wonderful staff - I even managed to find a pair of trousers- spoilt for choice with women’s clothes (not so much for men). We ate in the little ground floor cafe and although the food was tasty and the tea/coffee piping hot,, the “pannini” was disappointing. It was a small oval shaped very soft roll. It may have been toasted in a pannini maker, but it didn’t have the crunch or taste. It was too soft. I hope this was a one off and they start serving real ones.

Love this store. It has a good range of kitchen ware, ladies clothing & lingerie, a great selection of make up & prefumes, handbags & jewellery are good brands. Bedding /duvets & duvet sets very reasonably priced. There is also a fabulous needlework section & bathroom assessories also a designers men's depth. The cafe prices are very reasonable & the staff are very kind & helpful. I enjoy every visit there & I cannot praise this department store enough.

Lovely to be back browsing here. The shop was well stocked and all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were several places where I could sanitise my hands and I was able to try my purchases on. I came away with some lovely sale items from winter stock as well as new season dresses from several brands. I think the shoe shop is part of Bradbeers (?) but downstairs I got personal help finding the most gorgeous wide fit posh sandal for my daughter's wedding. Thankyou Bradbeers.

Visited the cafe Saturday morning with mum, had 2 drinks one with soya and one with out. The man placed the bikkies on a separate plate incase I couldn't have milk as I ordered soya. That was very thoughtful. I get so annoyed that vegan is a choice and not treated with the same respect as allergy so this was a great little touch to have done this. Every one was happy, said hello, were polite and wore their masks fine😊 will always come back to visit.

I came back today having popped in the day before. I purchased an excellent leather jacket. My wife was so impressed we went upstairs and she bought a lovely wine coloured wine too. Excellent price and we browsed the store afterwards. Prior to this we had excellent eggs Benedict in the cafe where we have been before. Travelled all the way from Gosport for our purchase. Love this mini department store, definitely recommend and will be back.

Bra fitting service at Bradbeers is top notch .Having had breast cancer and lymph nodes removed I struggled to find a store that showed empathy and concern for the customer. The ladies are just fabulous nothing is to much trouble. Being a lady with an enhanced bust I have always struggled with getting a comfortable fitting bra .I highly recommend Bradbeers Romsey .I would not go any where else.Thank you so much ladies

One of the very amazing store's left, such great quality and choice. Clean well planned out store to walk and browse around. I stopped for lunch in their well appointed restaurant, which was excellent with great service and attentive staff. Then browsed around the newly laid out Xmas items. Try it out, it's worth the trip to Romsey. You pay a little more but then you do get quality. Two Xmas gifts purchased.

Bradbeers is like a smaller John Lewis. I love it. Enough choice without being overwhelming. Friendly staff, always polite and helpful. Cafe with views over Romsey and quiet places to chat. No one ever hurries you out.
Great range of fashions, probably for age 30 plus. Some really smart brands and great shoe selection. It's what department stores should be.

(Smith) Bradbeers in Romsey is a store situated right in the heart of the market town of Romsey with a variety of departments. The facade is hidden in the main Square but has been designed to fit in with the setting of the town. It is old-fashioned service with a modern twist. Car parking is nearby.
Romsey is a wonderful town to visit with something for everyone and Bradbeers is an asset.

I purchased a pair of black Gabor boots today in Romsey and was served by a shop assistant from the Charles Clinkard section. I’m afraid I did not ask her name, however, myself and husband have been served by her a few times now. She is ‘excellent’ at her job, so friendly and polite and a real asset to your company.

I had an amazing evening with Clarins Team yesterday when we attended a makeup and beauty event. I learned so much and feel much more confident about the products! I would definitely recommend anyone to attend a similar event. The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. Thank you Bradbeers for hosting this thoroughly enjoyable session.

I visited my favourite little department store today - being absolutely thrilled to find it is open for business once more! Nothing has changed - all the lovely goods are still on offer and a defy anyone to find such a comprehensive range of lingerie, swimwear, shoes, women's wear - it's an Aladdin's cave of delights!

Had lunch there with a friend we both had the jacket potato with prawns and salad. We both enjoyed our choice .The service was helpful and quick with a pleasant atmosphere. After lunch we looked around the different shops in store admiring the Christmas trimmings. We both bought something so really enjoyed our day.

Took my dear friend for a long awaited "shop" to Bradbeers. She can't praise the shop highly enough! A very BIG Thank you to Claire (and her colleague) on Ladies Fashion. You are amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, understanding and so so helpful. We had 5 star treatment and it meant the world to my friend. So thank you.

A huge thank you to Kate - Clarins counter. Her in-depth knowledge of her products, an intuitive understanding of my needs and her absolute professionalism ensured my absolute confidence in her guidance and advice. After an impromptu, fabulous make-over, I left Bradbeers feeling uplifted and the able to apply my new make up with confidence.

A small but perfectly formed dept store with a bonny coffee shop. Has full range and also has a furniture store off site. Women's fashion aimed more at quality then disposable. More to choose from than bigger stores! Parking is public pay. You do need reasonable mobility to access store although help on hand. Great staff.
~ Justin L
A first class department store with outstanding choice. Service is quiet outstanding. If they haven't got it in the store they will try other store locations in the group and have it delivered to a store nearest to you. Prices are very competitive. I am impressed and would always try Bradbeers first.

I had an excellent evening organised by Smith Bradbeers making a Christmas Wreath. It was run by two lovely ladies , who advised, helped and taught everyone who attended. Coffee, tea or a glass of bubbles and mince pies went down extremely well. Definitely worth doing.

Fabulous dress shopping experience with Sue and Mariella on the Hobbs/Phase Eight department. So kind and helpful with their combined knowledge and personal involvement with helping me find a dress. Would certainly recommend. Clothing and shop layout was stylish and eye-catching.
